Tom Stewart has been an educator and a proud resident of Corner Brook for over 25 years. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather—who served as Town Manager of Corner Brook West—Tom has dedicated much of his time to public service. His past campaigns have focused on key community issues, including the elimination of the poll tax, preserving the Annex as an athletic venue, improving the maintenance of waste and stormwater systems, advocating for increased residential density in the downtown core, and expanding recreational and multi-use trails to better connect the city’s major parks. On the provincial stage, Tom has pushed for both political parties to commit to securing a P.E.T. scanner and improved support services for the regional hospital. Beyond politics, Tom has been deeply involved in the local basketball community as both a coach and official, contributing at every level—from school programs to the provincial stage, including a three-year term as head coach at Grenfell. Tom extends his best wishes to all candidates in this election and looks forward to continuing Corner Brook’s progress in the years ahead.
