Steve Perchard has called Corner Brook home for 25 years, building a career as an educator, school administrator, and now school systems leader with NLSchools. He holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Western University, with a focus on change management, and brings decades of experience supporting people through complex challenges.

Steve has championed the arts as a founding member and past president of the Off-Broadway Players, a board member of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador, and co-founder of the Stage West Theatre Festival. His wife, Amy, owned and operated a business in Corner Brook for over 26 years, before recently switching careers. Together, they have two children, Henry and Violet.

As a city councillor, Steve is committed to leading through curiosity, creativity and collaboration-asking the right questions, exploring new ideas, and working together with the community. His approach to leadership is rooted in listening, problem-solving, and building partnerships to find practical solutions for Corner Brook’s challenges while capitalizing on this city’s unlimited potential.
